Lunchbox: Spin the thermometer edition

Hey!: We’re freezing our asses off and might build a fire in this office. Why is it so insanely cold? Read this

Play on: The folks behind “Miracle on the Ohio,” a 2.5-hour documentary film about the illustrious Louisville Orchestra, gave a 15-minute preview of their film this morning. In September, we ran this story chronicling how the LO stayed in business through some tough times, and why that’s the best thing that could’ve happened.

Facing the music: The teen driver who was operating the stolen Honda Accord that crashed into a tree and killed four teens — three of whom were brothers — last week will appear for his arraignment today. He’s being charged with their murders.

Baby you can drive my car: U.S. Rep. John Yarmuth defends the auto bailout. Meanwhile, typically indefatigable Toyota is expected to announce its first. loss .ever. (Well, since 1941.)

Snoozefest: AM talk radio gears up to trash Obama. Limbaugh calls it the “rebirth of principled opposition.” Wonder if ol’ Rush-bo made it to the Internet these last 8 years.

End of the beginning: Oh sweet Jesus holy mother of god, a newspaper in New Jersey isn’t going online and also isn’t dying. In fact, it’s prospering. Sure, it’s got a 10K press run. But the basic philosophy is: Why give readers an outlet that’s not paying your bills? Seems like a fine idea in the age of the newspaper bankruptcy.

Pissed: Seems ol’ George W. is a bit miffed because the NY Times blamed his administration for the collapse of the economy. Just read it.
