Both the mayor and my boss recommended staying indoors today, but I opted not to heed their warnings. Without cable or Internet service, it took all of two hours for me to go stir crazy.
So my husband — also bored and seeking a little adventure — offered to dig out our car and drive me to work. That was an hour ago, even though I live only five minutes from LEO’s downtown offices. The car was covered with a centimeter of ice; then we were stuck, requiring me to man the wheel while my husband pushed.
But we made it.
Here’s the gist of it: Trees are down. Power lines are down. The streets are icy. Downtown is deserted. Don’t be stupid — stay home.

Luckily, it appears the Cards window flag has weathered the storm. One for the good guys, eh?
