BREAKING: SB 68 out of Judiciary

A source with Fairness who spent today in Frankfort has confirmed that Senate Bill 68, which would prohibit non-married co-habiting people (the target, quite obviously, is gays and lesbians) from adopting in the commonwealth, has passed the judiciary committee and is headed for a vote by the full Senate.

The Republican-dominated Senate is likely to pass the bill and send it to the House.

According to our source, the bill jumped judiciary after a special meeting was called to deal with it specifically.

More details to come.
