File under “it practically writes itself”: Sen. Jim Bunning describes his re-election campaign’s fund-raising efforts as “lousy,” and then proceeded to urinate on every reporter in the room.

Okay, not really. But perhaps he’s just trying to make his next quarter’s efforts seem better by comparison. Or maybe he’s having a hard time convincing his donors to not fork over their cash to the obviously more sane choice of David Williams. Or it could just be another case of the crazy.

Any way it’s sliced, it’s yet another sign post that suggests Bunning’s path to glory in 2010 is as bumpy and full of holes as his brain. And that’s a lot of holes.
