Speaking of klansmen — and hate groups in general — a chapter of the Ku Klux Klan is going door-to-door in Shepherdsville, leaving their propaganda fliers all over the place and not even getting charged with littering, solicitation or first degree douchebaggery (which is apparently not a crime).
The fliers, which say they are from the United Northern & Southern Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, were found on Raymond, West Blue Lick and Chillicoop roads, he said. The papers listed “10 Steps to a Better America,” which included stopping immigration, ending white discrimination, stopping foreign aid and defending gun rights.
She was concerned that her two 11-year-old grandchildren would see it.“Everybody has their own freedom of speech,” she said. “If that’s what you believe, that’s fine, but don’t be pushing that on me.”
… Ruthie Ashbaugh, who has lived on Raymond Road for more than 35 years, said she has never seen KKK pamphlets distributed on her street before. [The Courier-Journal]
FYI, the United Northern & Southern Knights are but one of a half-dozen Klan outfits “operating” in Kentucky and have a ridiculously formatted web site (a black background with centrally-aligned red font? Way to look professional, guys...) that implores members to adopt the tactics of the NAACP because they (the NAACP) are so successful — seriously.
