A Metro Council committee unanimously passed the controversial and silly saggy pants resolution that was introduced by Councilwoman Judy Green, D-1, which encourages citizens to pull up their pants.
The Community Affairs committee heard testimony from a handful of residents who addressed the council and said they were fed up with the hip-hop attire. The resolution will now go before the full council. It will likely pass in part because many council members are expected to abstain.
In “Jerry’s kids” we reported that several city lawmakers considered the proclamation a big waste of time — although no one would say that on record.

“A waste of time…” is correct. The bill is so idiotic that no one should even waste the electricity or air to address it.
