Those speculations weren’t helped by the family’s convenient reality-TV moment that aired this morning on the Today Show, where the Balloon Boy vomited during their nationally broadcasted interview.

Colorado authorities are now looking into the 6-year-old’s comment during a live television interview where he apparently snitches on the family’s celebrity ambitions.

“Why didn’t you come out?” queried Richard Heene, the boy’s father, the balloon’s inventor and the person whose scolding of Falcon earlier in the day had previously been credited with prompting the boy to flee and hide in the attic.
