Two suspected terrorists arrested in Bowling Green

Well, this is kind of interesting:

LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) — Two Iraqi citizens in Bowling Green, Ky. face federal terrorism charges, with one accused of carrying out several attacks on U.S. troops in Iraq and the other said to have participated in the insurgency there.

30-year-old Waad Ramadan Alwan is charged with conspiring to kill Americans, give out information on how to make and use IEDs, and export Stinger missiles, among other charges.

23-year-old Mohanad Shareef Hammadi faces charges of trying to support terrorists and al-Qaeda in Iraq, and of conspiring to export Stingers.

Neither man is charged with plotting any attacks within the U.S.

They were arrested on May 25th and appeared in Federal Court in Louisville on Tuesday.

This might be on the local news tonight. Maybe.

(If so, break out your Memorial Day decorations again if you were sober enough to have already put them away)

At any rate, here’s a link to their indictment. (PDF)
