In two historic and unanimous votes, the Louisville Metro Council emphatically said to Councilwoman Judy Green: “You’re not quitting, you’re fired.”
The council voted 20-0 on both ethics violations yesterday (conveniently a half hour after LEO Weekly went to print), making Judy Green the first Louisville legislator expelled from office since 1865. This action means that Green cannot run again for her seat in the special election next year, and she would have to wait until 2014 to do so.
So the Judy Green Saga is officially over, at long last. Godspeed.
