The Republican primary for Kentucky’s 4th congressional district is finally starting to heat up, and state Rep. Alecia Webb-Edgington aired her first campaign commercial this weekend in the Northern Kentucky market.

As you can see in the ad below, she talks about her days as a state trooper and all of the bad guys she’s fought against, but… that’s probably not what people will remember it for:

I don’t know if this is more 1) insulting to herself, 2) insulting to Republicans in the 4th, 3) weird, 4) creepy, or 5) absolute genius.

Anyway, I hereby call to order a discussion on feminist theory relating to the objectionalization of women in American politics in the post-Palin era. Go.
