A more upbeat Sen. Mitch McConnell went on Fox News Sunday to trash Obamacare, but soon found himself flustered by a real, honest-to-God, good question from Chris Wallace, which he did his best to avoid answering: “One of the keys to ‘Obamacare’ is that it will extend insurance access to 30 million people who are now uninsured. In your replacement, how would you provide universal coverage?”
Eventually, Mitch got to answering the question. Sort of:
“That is not the issue.”
For McConnell, that is indeed not the issue, because he couldn’t care less about that trivial little detail. The man has a president to defeat and campaign contributors to please. Such petty matters of life and death are for others to worry about.
