It’s very clear that McConnell is vulnerable and nervous. What’s not clear is whether the KY Dems will field someone strong enough to take advantage of that vulnerability. The 2 closest in head-to-head matchups, Ashley Judd and Jack Conway, have both said no. So has Beshear, Chandler, Crit Luallen. Grimes has not ruled it out, but she trails McConnell (this far out) by quite a bit. So does Abramson. McConnell’s $7 million war chest makes him forbidable even when this unpopular. Whoever wants a real, solid, chance at removing this embarrassment from the Bluegrass State needs to declare now and start raising cash.
I do think Judd is our best bet. I’d rather Grimes wait and take on Rand Paul and have Luallen in the Gov. mansion. But if Judd doesn’t step up soon, get Conway or Grimes saddled up and let’s get MOVING! Ditch Mitch!!
