Like you, I get emails. Some are good, some are not-so-good, and some require a serious consideration of the length of one’s penis and/or the logistics of opening a domestic checking account for the Bank of Africa.

Yet the shit I routinely get from The American Family Association of Kentucky is, without question, the worst of the worst. This time, Dr. Frank “I Have No Idea What Tea Bagging Means Beyond Vapid Political Gestures” Simon is attacking Hillary Clinton and her dastardly efforts to improve the lot of women around the world. If Saudi Arabia wants to keep women living in the first century, that’s their right! Who are we, the USA, to trifle in the affairs of other nations without blowing them all to hell first?

So here’s how I wasted five minutes:

CNN is reporting that President-elect Obama may, during his first week office, issue an executive order allowing U.S. funds to go toward family planning groups in other countries that support or offer information about abortion. It’s a reversal of the Bush administration’s reinstatement of the “Mexico City Policy“, which requires all NGOs receiving U.S. cash to refrain from discussing abortion as a choice for pregnant women.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood is suing the Bush administration for further indiscretions against women.
