GaGa Trumps Obama On LGBT Rights

Did you know that, during a Human Rights Council-sponsored dinner on the eve of last Sunday’s National Equality March that a pop star (Ms. GaGa) usurped the leader of the free world’s (Mr. Obama’s) mantle as Gay Defender of The Known Universe, a title first created by William Jefferson Clinton?

Fairness boycott gets national coverage

The Fairness Campaign’s call to boycott Woody’s Tavern over another alleged racial incident involving the bar’s owner, David Norton, was covered in The Advocate this week. The national news magazine is the oldest continuing LGBT publication in the country.

Ward-Pugh highlighted in Curve

Senate Bill 68 is dead

Senate Bill 68 is dead this session, according to this CJ story. The bill, known as “The Child Welfare Adoption Act,” was shepherded by state Sen. Gary Tapp and would’ve prohibited unmarried, cohabiting couples (a euphemism for gays and lesbians) from adopting or fostering children in Kentucky.

BREAKING: SB 68 out of Judiciary

A source with Fairness who spent today in Frankfort has confirmed that Senate Bill 68, which would prohibit non-married co-habiting people (the target, quite obviously, is gays and lesbians) from adopting in the commonwealth, has passed the judiciary committee and is headed for a vote by the full Senate.
